I have been looking forward to this blog …. So much so I have done it before last weeks Autumn Planner setup blog …. Whoops naughty step for me.!!!!
So favourite films and films I would recommend you to watch …… Where do I start my list is as long as a piece of string and very varied, so I have decided to list the films that I will watch over and over again and never get bored of them.
Top of the list has to be ….
- Castaway with Tom Hanks, this film reminds me of my holiday in Ireland where my husbster proposed to me (obviously not my husband at the time!!)
- The Green Mile with Tom Hanks
- Forest Gump with Tom Hanks (a bit of a theme here)
- Shawshank Redemption with Morgan Freeman
- The Rock with Sean Connery
- Toy Story 1,2 and 3
- Pulp Fiction with Uma Thurman (just love the dance scene with JT)
- Casino Royale with Daniel Craig
- Quantum of Solace with Daniel Craig
- And again Syfall with the one and only (I think DC is the best James Bond) although my hubster will disagree
- Goodnight Mr Tom with John Thaw is my tearjerker
- I need to add all the Pirates of the Caribbean films with Johnny Depp SAVVY
- And I think I will end with Matilda with Mara Wilson
- I could carry on and on but I am sure you have had enough by now.
I would love to know what you think of my favourite films and any that you would recommend to me.
Rather than off to watch a good film I best go and sort out my planner set up!!!
Toodle pip for now my lovelies X X X

It’s just gone 5 in the morning and as per usual I cannot sleep.i think once I am awake my mind goes into overdrive and then that’s it BOOM i am awake. It’s a pity it wasn’t more like that when I was at school?!
So I am wondering, I have started this blog but what do I write about? I have joined the “Confessions of a Plannerholic” team which has given me the incentive to start and a schedule of blogs to contribute towards which is all good, but what else???
I feel I need to set myself a programme, my problem is what should this include. I don’t really have a life that interesting that your going to want to read about it. So my thoughts at this early hour are …….
- Book reviews
- Planner and accessory reviews
- Craft projects and failures
- Weight Loss journey
- Days out.
- Meal reviews
What do you think? I have surprised myself as I wrote the list. If there is anything else you can think an average 40 something could write about let me know.
Talking of craft failures before I go I must tell you this ….
Now I love crafts, all sorts I am a “Have a go Joe” sort of girl. I don’t claim to be any good at any of them but I love to try, a lot end up in the bin but occasionally we do end up with something I am slightly proud of. Saying that though I think all crafters are critical of their own work. I belong to a Facebook group called “Crafty Girls UK Happy Mail” and I think we all love each other’s work but are very critical of our own, if your a crafter of any ability you may want to pop along and check us out its a lovely group.
Anyway back to my story. My mum asked if I could make a card for her friends son he is going to be 65 soon. I don’t particularly like doing cards I struggle with them especially male ones, You can’t pretty them up like female ones. Anyway the man in question is into walking and the gym, nothing of which I had in my craft stash that was relevant and I didn’t really want to be buying more. So I made this card trying to keep to my new rule of “less is more” and kept it very simple. I was quite chuffed with it in the end, So I took a picture and sent it to my mum just so that she could get a sneak preview, and the message I got back was ” is that the stuff your sticking on it? ” No Mum it’s the finished card!!!! “Oh I thought it was just the bits, it’s a bit bare” Do you not like it then? ” Well it’s ok I suppose, perhaps it will be better in the flesh” on that note I ended the conversation before I shoved the card in the bin!!! Oh the trials of a crafter and Blunt Mother !!!
On that note I am off to make a coffee, Bye for now X X
The card in question, complete with its “Stuff I stuck on”!!! 😂
This is my first ever blog so to say I am a tad nervous is an understatement!!!!
I have joined the lovely girls at Confessions Of A Plannerholic, I think if anyone can set me on the right track and give me the kick I need they can.
So the first blog for me is ….
AUTUMN BUCKET LIST
So rightly the first one has to be my blog ….. Mission 1 complete
The Hubster bought me a flower press ……. I know a bit old fashioned I hear you say ….. But I thought they would look great laminated on dividers and bookmarks for my planner …. Also for smash booking and art journaling ….. Which leads me to my next 2.
As many of us are I am into all things stationery I think I could corner the market in the notebook section …… So I have always wanted to be able to draw, I am not saying I want to be the next Piccasso but just to be able to draw a flower or an animal that mildly resembles what it should be and I would be happy. I have watched many YouTube videos on art journaling and such like and there is one lady that stands out for me and that’s “dinglydelification” I will post her link. So yes I am going to start using up my notebook collection for art journaling. I have also had a smash book sat in the cupboard for a few months now so that will be something else I can use and start. Saying that I also have a wreck this journal that I have had for over 12 months now…… Oh dear it’s not until you stop and think you realise how big your problem is!
Lastly on my bucket list is to make Pumpkin Soup, ever since my son was little I was going to make pumpkin soup from the remains of his lantern, I now have grandchildren and still no signs of pumpkin soup!!!! So 2016 is the year when Pumpkin Soup will be making an appearance in Bartlett Mansions. Watch this space.
So this is the end of my first blog, I am sure it will improve with time, like a good wine!!! So please stay on for the ride there are bound to be plenty of ups and downs.
